We had our Cross Country at Bishan Park 2. We had a solemn Opening Ceremony which included various elements synonymous with features of the Olympic Games. Our student leaders ran in bearing the OPSS “Olympic Torch”, to the accompaniment of the “Fanfare For The Common Man”, one of the songs in the Beijing 2009 Olympics . The torch was then passed to Principal, Mrs Helen Tan, who declared the Cross Country open. The student leaders also led the school in taking the Athletes’ Oath.
