The Mother Tongue department is focusing on language competencies and also to cultivate self-confident of the students.  To ensure that the students are able to brave the outside world in the future, the Mother Tongue department tries to encourage students speak up and discuss in the class.   Some of the strategies are variety of assignments, item bank, collaboration with other schools and frequent observation of students’ progress from time to time.   Trainings and enrichment courses are being arranged to ensure students are driven towards the department goals.  The department tries to look for opportunities through competitions and courses to enhance students’ abilities in language competencies.  We have also been working with external vendors and MOE to make sure the Department is always up-to-date with the latest policies and activities.
